Valentines Day at Martin’s Bar & Restaurant
Join us for a relaxed dining experience catering to couples, friends & families alike.
This February, we are broadening the definition of Valentine’s Day to celebrate love in all its forms. Whether you are planning a romantic evening for two, a “Galentine’s” reunion with your best friends, or simply want to treat the whole family to a special meal, our kitchen has curated a menu designed to bring people together.
For just £25 for two courses or £35 for three, you can enjoy a relaxed dining experience that celebrates the very best of local produce.
To start, you might choose to sample flavours from our very own farm with crispy breaded Lamb Bonbons, made using farm-reared lamb from Highlands End Farm and served with a spiced harissa yoghurt. Alternatively, embrace the coast with a rich Smoked Haddock, Mussel and Clam Chowder, or enjoy the zesty kick of Hoisin and Lime Aubergine.
For the main event, we are proud to showcase our local roots. Meat lovers can indulge in a succulent Barnsley Lamb Chop sourced directly from our farm, or upgrade to a premium 8oz Ribeye Steak from Frampton’s of Bridport, served with triple-cooked chips and chimichurri. If you prefer lighter flavours, our Pan-fried Hake with golden beetroot or the Miso Glazed Salmon with sushi rice offer a delicate, savoury alternative. We also have plenty of delicious plant-based options, including a roasted Cauliflower Steak with truffle purée.
If you are visiting us as a group of friends or bringing the family, nothing brings people together quite like sharing food. We have created two show-stopping platters specifically for groups. Our Family Sharer serves 3-4 people and features a whole roast leg of Highlands End Farm lamb, served family-style with roast potatoes and seasonal vegetables. For a more casual vibe, try the Slider Platter – a giant tray piled high with dirty fries and your choice of 8 mini burgers, including smash burgers, buttermilk chicken, or spiced onion bhajis.
To finish your evening on a sweet note, treat yourself to a warm Chocolate Brownie, a classic Eton Mess, or a zesty homemade Lemon Tart.
