Last week we hosted the first ever Bridport Business Awards at Martin’s Bar & Restaurant at Highlands End Holiday Park. It was a hugely successful event and a great celebration of all the fantastic businesses in this unique and vibrant town.

We were delighted to win a total of THREE awards! Martin’s Bar & Restaurant won both the Restaurant of the Year and the Best Community Involvement awards and West Dorset Leisure Holidays was recognised in the Overall Business of the Year, finishing joint first!

It’s a testament to how hard the whole team work and particularly in Martin’s Bar & Restaurant to not only provide a fantastic facility and food, but to do that while catering for both the holidaymakers staying on the 5 West Dorset Leisure Holiday’s parks and local residents.

We have a big involvement in the local community, which we see as vitally important as a family-run business, examples of which include attending local events, using local suppliers & businesses, employing over 100 local people, welcoming over 300 members at Highlands End Leisure Club and charity involvement hosting dinners, the Eype Maker’s Market and raising over £80,000 for the Jurassic Coast Trust.

It’s been a brilliant few months with a Taste of the West Gold Award for Martin’s Bar & Restaurant, gold in the Holiday Park of the Year at the Dorset Tourism Awards, silver in the Holiday Park of the Year at the South West Tourism Awards and being a finalist at the Dorset Business Awards for Family Business of the Year, to name a few.
